Web Design Agencies In New York

Listed

New York City firms on this list work for names like FIFA World Cup 2026 NYNJ and Match Group, while the Buffalo and Rochester firms name more regional clients, so start by being honest about your project’s size. Eight agencies are below. New York’s tax department treats software built to a particular buyer’s specifications as nontaxable, though how your site is delivered can change that.

Web design agencies in New York City

DD.NYC

DD.NYC says it is a Manhattan creative agency founded in 2015, with work including a FIFA World Cup 2026 NYNJ site, a Match Group platform and packaging for Modern Dose. It reports Inc. 5000 honors for 2025 and 2026. Budgets at this level are not on the page, so ask for a realistic floor before you spend time on a brief.

Big Drop

Big Drop describes itself as an award-winning NYC web design company, with case studies in cybersecurity, payments and payroll, and a cable provider. It handles strategy, design and digital marketing. Ask which team members from those case studies would work on your account, and whether your project is large enough for its process.

e9digital

e9digital says it is based in New York City and works beyond it, with sites for a Manhattan general contractor, a law firm, and Reservoir Media. It builds in WordPress and writes comparisons with Webflow, and its founder, Conrad, takes first calls. A professional services firm can ask which platform it would pick for a site staff must update.

Web design agencies in Buffalo

Future Buffalo

Future Buffalo names Jeffrey Enabe as founder and offers small business sites, SEO and Facebook-style ad work, with a free fifteen-minute talk to begin. Past clients include FPPF Chemical and TT New York in Amherst. A client note credits it with converting a WordPress site into a working web store. If you sell online, ask what that conversion would involve for you.

AldoMedia

AldoMedia says it has been a Buffalo web designer since 1999, doing SEO in-house and building fast, ADA-compliant sites, with hand-coded work and 360 degree tours. It says hosting is your choice. It also describes rebuilding a piano shop’s site and moving a law firm without downtime. Ask what ADA-compliant means in its contract, and how it tests for it.

Newbird

Newbird says it has 15+ years in web design and is Buffalo based, with a New York City office and a nonprofit practice. It covers Shopify, WordPress and React, plus Facebook ads, email and analytics. Direct-to-consumer stores see the closest fit. Ask for a recent store migration, and what happened to its sales in the months after.

Web design agencies in Rochester

Arca Interactive

Arca is a Rochester based team offering website design and development, brand identity, app development, WordPress hosting and support, SEO and PPC. Named work includes Western New York Energy and Kitchens By Premier. Ask for a build price without hosting, so you can compare a move elsewhere.

Mason Digital

Mason Digital calls itself a digital marketing agency in the Rochester area, specializing in web development and marketing, and it has written about WCAG 2.2 and an engagement with The Bonadio Group. If your organization has accessibility obligations, ask whether it provides a written audit, and how it would be retested.

How New York treats custom and hosted work

The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance’s computer software bulletin says “Custom software is not subject to tax provided it is designed and developed to the specifications of a particular purchaser.” Advisory Opinion TSB-A-20(70)S found one company’s mobile website development services were not subject to sales or use tax, although such an opinion answers that company’s facts. Prewritten software, even when modified, stays taxable under the Department’s reasoning, except that a separately stated customization charge can stand apart.

So a build and a hosted platform may not be treated alike. If an agency’s “site” is really access to its own software, ask about tax on the monthly fee and take a question to the Department or your accountant. The state’s Division of Corporations database can confirm a legal name.

Manhattan budgets and accessibility in New York

Is a Manhattan agency worth it for a small business?

That depends on your budget, so ask for a minimum at once. Future Buffalo, for one, offers small business sites.

What should I ask about accessibility?

Ask what standard, who tests, and what you receive. AldoMedia and Mason Digital both raise the subject on their sites, and New York businesses can raise it with any firm here.

New York first calls by project size

National brands can start with DD.NYC or Big Drop. A city professional firm can begin with e9digital. A Buffalo small business can compare Future Buffalo with AldoMedia, and an online store can talk to Newbird. In Rochester, take a straightforward project to Arca, and one with accessibility or broader marketing needs to Mason Digital.
