Web Design Agencies In North Carolina

Listed

Three markets, eight agencies. Charlotte’s list leans toward manufacturers and IT services, Raleigh’s firms have been at this since the late 1990s and early 2000s, and Greensboro offers a one-person developer who has worked since 2001 alongside a local WordPress team. North Carolina exempts custom software by statute, so ask how much of your project qualifies, and get it on the invoice.

Web design agencies in Charlotte

Lazarus Digital

Lazarus says Lazarus Design Team is now Lazarus Digital, with the same team under a new name, and cites 300+ clients. It sells web design, graphic design and digital marketing, and client notes name Brennan and Ethan. Because of the name change, check that the contract, invoices and domain all use the same legal entity.

Synchronicity

Synchronicity markets web design and digital marketing to manufacturers, and it talks about RFQs, sales follow-up and connecting website and CRM data. It says it responds to inquiries within one business day. A manufacturer can ask how quote requests would be routed into a CRM, and who is responsible when a form fails.

Animink

Animink calls itself a Charlotte-based web design company and also offers custom software, cloud services, branding and print, plus Office 365 and Google Workspace migration. A small business that wants one vendor for its site and its email can ask about both. Ask how support is split between its web and IT staff.

Web design agencies in Raleigh

TheeDigital

TheeDigital says it has been in business since 2004 and describes itself as a Google Partner. Its case studies include WordPress builds for an event venue and a nonprofit, and SEO and PPC for a glass company and a roofer. Ask which staff member would run your account, and which of the listed numbers came from the site versus the ads.

Generate Design

Generate Design says it has served clients since 1998 and focuses on website and graphic design with an emphasis on clear messaging. It offers logos and printed materials alongside sites. A company looking for a site and identity together can ask for a combined quote, and for separate prices so it can compare.

OnWired

OnWired describes itself as a firm in downtown Raleigh doing WordPress development, brand identity and SEO, and its contact page offers a website pricing and quote path. It says its process starts with listening. Ask for its pricing guide early so that you can tell if your budget fits before a long discovery call.

Web design agencies in Greensboro

NC Website Designer

NC Website Designer says it is based in Greensboro and serves the Triad with WordPress sites, redesigns and a monthly maintenance service that handles updates and security. It also takes on existing WordPress sites. If you only need care for the site you have, ask for that scope and price first.

Forcefield

Forcefield says it has been building in Greensboro since 2001, is run in the first person, and writes custom WordPress themes without page builders, including migrations off Divi and Elementor. Its recent work includes a 7,000-SKU toy store. DNS, email authentication and hosting moves are also on its list. A store with a slow site or a broken email setup has a clear reason to call. Ask who covers when that one person is unavailable.

North Carolina’s custom software exemption

Written Determination SUPLR 2020-0007 from the North Carolina Department of Revenue quotes G.S. 105-164.13(43), an exemption for “[c]ustom computer software and the portion of prewritten computer software that is modified or enhanced” to a specific purchaser’s specifications. The determination says it “is applicable only to the taxpayer addressed herein,” so read this one as a way to see the statute, not as a ruling on your site.

The statute does not mention website design. North Carolina also taxes some digital property, so licensed items and bundled prices deserve a look. Ask agencies for separate lines, and ask the Department or your accountant if the amount matters. The Secretary of State’s business registration search can confirm a contract’s legal name.

Hiring across regions and checking name changes in North Carolina

Can a Charlotte business hire in the Triad?

Yes, if you are happy with remote reviews. Forcefield and NC Website Designer are in Greensboro, and OnWired is in Raleigh. Ask how they handle in-person meetings if you want them.

How do I check if an agency has changed names?

Search the business record and ask directly. Lazarus states its name change on its site. Make sure your contract names the current entity.

North Carolina first calls by type of job

Manufacturers start with Synchronicity. If you want your site and IT services together, try Animink. Charlotte service businesses can compare Lazarus. In Raleigh, TheeDigital suits a buyer who wants ongoing SEO and ads, Generate Design one who wants brand and print, and OnWired a downtown firm for WordPress with visible pricing. In Greensboro, a technical rescue points to Forcefield, while ordinary site care points to NC Website Designer.

We drew these details from each company’s own pages in November 2026, and we have not checked their claims. The order is not a ranking.
