Web design agencies in Louisville
Honeywick
- Phone: 502-873-3866
- Website: https://honeywick.com/
Honeywick combines custom site design and software development with virtual IT, managed hosting, branding and photography. A small organization that has no IT person may find that useful. Ask for a clear split between what the site costs and what an IT contract costs, and which of those you can cancel on its own.
Mightily
- Phone: 502 509.1119
- Email: curiosity@mightily.com
- Website: https://mightily.com/
Mightily describes three disciplines, brand, media and web, and it plans and buys media as well as building WordPress sites. It also handles cookie audits, consent banners and ongoing monitoring, and Lesa Seibert writes about those laws as CEO. If your business collects data from visitors in several states, ask which law it is designing the consent setup around.
Web design agencies in Lexington
Trifecta
- Address: 721 W Main St, Lexington, KY 40508
- Phone: 859.303.4663
- Website: https://www.trifectaky.com/
Trifecta says it has worked since 2010 and lists branding, web design, marketing and hosting with backups. Its examples include the University of Kentucky College of Social Work, Kentucky Realtor Institute and YPK Motorsports. It pays attention to brand as much as site. Ask how a site-only project differs if you already have a logo and guide.
Tunnel Vision Design
- Phone: (859) 951-8412
- Email: team@tunnelvisiondesign.com
- Website: https://tunnelvisiondesign.com/
Tunnel Vision says a new small business site averages around $3,500 and online stores start around $5,000, and that it has built more than 100 sites since 2018. You work directly with co-owner and designer Chad Young and with Jason, who leads development and hosting. Before your first call it asks for sites you like, a rough budget, and access to your domain and hosting.
Clickfaktory
- Address: Suite 170-421, Lexington, KY 40509
- Phone: (859) 753-8824
- Email: info@clickfaktory.com
- Website: https://www.clickfaktory.com/
Clickfaktory says it never builds with pre-made templates, builds in custom WordPress, and works with small and medium businesses. It also sells hosting packages. Its page states “We’re not right for everybody,” so use that opening: ask what kind of client it turns away, and what a site costs for a business like yours.
Web design agencies in Bowling Green
Hangout Creative
- Address: 1017 Magnolia St, Bowling Green, KY 42103
- Phone: (270) 681-0742
- Website: https://hangoutcreative.com/
Hangout says it has served Kentucky businesses since 2012 and is locally owned. Beyond websites, it handles SEO, Google Ads, automated email and text follow-up, and CRM setup. Named clients include Kentucky Skin Cancer Center and RA+A Architecture & Engineering. If you buy the CRM setup too, ask who owns the account and the lead data.
CrowdSouth
- Address: Bowling Green, KY 42101
- Phone: 270.883.0157
- Website: https://www.crowdsouth.com/
CrowdSouth describes itself as a small-town marketing agency with its main office in Bowling Green and an address in Louisville. Its lead services are social media, search ads, branding and web design. If the website is your main goal, ask to see recent site work, since social media is prominent on its page, and ask who keeps the site current.
Kentucky’s tax on website work
The Kentucky Department of Revenue’s June 2022 Sales Tax Facts newsletter, describing House Bill 8, lists “Website design and development services” and “Website hosting services” among newly taxable services effective January 1, 2023. It gives the example of a web designer who subcontracts part of a site and may issue a resale certificate to that subcontractor.
That is why a Kentucky quote can carry tax in a way a neighboring state’s might not. The newsletter is from 2022 and the copy we read is an October 2026 archive, so check the current text of KRS 139.200 and ask the Department or your accountant about exemptions. Then ask each agency to state tax as its own line on both the build and the monthly plan.
The Kentucky Secretary of State’s business search can confirm the company named in your contract.
Out-of-state hires and add-ons in Kentucky
Does the tax apply if I hire outside Kentucky?
It may still matter. Ask the out-of-state firm whether it collects Kentucky tax, and ask your accountant whether you owe use tax if it does not.
Who is the right choice if I need more than a site?
That depends on what else you need. Honeywick covers IT support, Mightily covers media buying and consent tools, and Hangout covers CRM and follow-up. Compare those on the extras, then check that the site can stand on its own if you cancel them.
Which Kentucky company to call first
For a published price and a direct line to the people building, begin with Tunnel Vision. Clickfaktory is another small and medium business option in Lexington, while Trifecta fits a brand-led or institutional project. Louisville organizations choose between Honeywick for IT and Mightily for media and consent work, and Bowling Green businesses can compare Hangout’s lead systems with CrowdSouth’s social media focus.
These profiles rest on the companies’ own sites as read in November 2026, and we have not verified their figures. Nothing in the order implies rank.
